–Award highlights use of Bluepoint Solutions’ FASTdocs document imaging solution–
Henderson, Nev.- Dec. 2, 2014– Bluepoint Solutions today announced that credit union customer, Cabrillo Credit Union, was recognized by Credit Union Journal as a 2014 Best Practice Award winner for its use of FASTdocs 5 document imaging solution. Credit Union Journal, published by SourceMedia, is the nation’s leading credit union newsweekly and serves more than 8,100 readers.
San Diego, CA-based Cabrillo Credit Union ($210m assets, 25k members, 5 branches) was recognized for improving back office operations, loan origination and signing processes, and member service by using a combination of document imaging and electronic signature. Launched in 2014, the solution reduced paper usage by 40%, created a 20% surplus of employee time that was redeployed towards member-facing activities, and cut the daily work required for loan signings by 50%. “Updating our legacy technology was a key strategic initiative to eliminate inefficiencies across the operation and to yield improved service and product offerings,” said Frankie Duenas, CTO of Cabrillo Credit Union. “Document imaging is just as important to a credit union as the core processor.”
Andrew Tilbury, chief marketing officer of Bluepoint Solutions said, “Cabrillo is a rare example of a credit union that combines a clear vision for the future with a strategic plan that relies on technology to aggressively grow its membership while staying focused on its existing members. We are honored that one of our credit union partners has been recognized with this award by Credit Union Journal.”
“Credit Union Journal’s Best Practices Awards program recognizes tested, results-driven strategies developed by credit unions to boost growth, improve efficiency, cut costs and drive revenue,” said Lisa Freeman, Credit Union Journal editor in chief. “Just as important, they must be strategies that can be adapted by other credit unions.”
