Bluepoint Solutions’ Customers Win Credit Union Journal Best Practice Awards
–Awards highlight Bluepoint check processing solutions that improve efficiency, enhance member service–
Henderson, Nev.—Nov. 26, 2013—Bluepoint Solutions today announced that two of its credit union customers — Hope Credit Union (HOPE) and Orion Federal Credit Union (Orion FCU) — were recognized by Credit Union Journal as 2013 Best Practice Award winners for their use of ImagePoint check capture and item processing solutions. Credit Union Journal, published by SourceMedia, is the nation’s leading credit union newsweekly and serves more than 8,100 readers.
“Credit Union Journal’s Best Practices Awards recognize credit unions and their supplier partners for innovation, creativity, and peer leadership, but above all for improving the value returned to the members,” said Frank J. Diekmann, Publisher of Credit Union Journal. “Those that are selected are indeed worthy of being emulated.”
Jackson, Miss.-based HOPE received the award based on its use of mobile banking and mobile deposit (RDC) to serve members who have limited access to traditional financial services. Mobile banking usage doubled in just four months since the credit union launched a new mobile banking app with mobile deposit in January of 2013.
Memphis, Tenn.-based Orion FCU received the award based on its use of teller capture with fraud prevention to mitigate check loss. The credit union launched Bluepoint’s ImagePoint Teller integrated with Early Warning’s Deposit Chek Service in February 2013 to provide real-time early return notification for check deposits. The combined solution has effectively prevented almost $100,000 in losses to both members and the credit union by identifying checks with doubtful collectability.
Andrew Tilbury, chief marketing officer of Bluepoint Solutions said, “We are honored that two of our credit union partners have been recognized with these awards by Credit Union Journal. Congratulations to both HOPE and Orion FCU and their teams on this acknowledgement of their work.”
ImagePoint, Bluepoint Solutions’ suite of Check 21-enable capture and cashletter processing solutions, includes a complete set of capture points—back-office branch, mailroom, front-line teller, ATM, merchant, home and mobile deposit—as well as loss mitigation tools, image cashletter creation, inclearings processing, and check archive.
