Henderson, Nev. – Jan. 7, 2015– Bluepoint Solutions today announced Tigard, OR-based NW Preferred Federal Credit Union (FCU) has selected its document imaging solution, FASTdocs. The switch to FASTdocs will allow the credit union to streamline internal operations, optimize system maintenance and oversight, and support the credit union’s member service initiatives.

NW Preferred Federal Credit Union ($121 million in assets, 10,000 members) has 2 branches. In 2003 NW Preferred was the first credit union in the nation to obtain a Trade Industry and Professional (TIP) charter from the NCUA allowing it to serve the licensed insurance industry in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.

“Document imaging is the common denominator that allows us to effectively serve both our local and our remote members,” said Jim Hier, VP of marketing & business development at NW Preferred FCU. “Upgrading to FASTdocs will allow us to trim operational expenses while paving the way for expanded self-service options.”

Theresa Fichtner, manager of information technology at NW Preferred, added, “FASTdocs is browser-based, making it quick for administrators to deploy and easy for end-users to learn. It will substantially reduce the amount of help-desk calls received by our IT department, allowing us to reallocate these limited resources for additional projects.”

“Seventy-five percent of credit unions are experiencing problems with their current document imaging system,” said Andrew Tilbury, chief marketing officer of Bluepoint Solutions. “We are proud to partner with NW Preferred to replace their out-of-date, legacy system and to help the credit union streamline operations improve member service.”
