Sales Engineer

Bluepoint Solutions operates offices in North San Diego County, Henderson, NV and Norcoss, GA but this position may be filled in an East Coast hub to support our Sales team in that region.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Sales Personnel to provide product, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities.
  • Liaison with Product Managers and Development to understand details of product direction: design and communication of information back to sales organization.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of product roadmap as well as understanding the scenarios, features and functions within each product and how these are applied to address business and technical problems. This includes interacting with Product Management and Development on an on-going basis to stay current.
  • Responsible for understanding business and technical problems addressed by the products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, etc.
  • Attendance at conferences and work with Subject Matter Experts, and research to stay on top of changes in business issues/requirements/regulations/Technology and understanding of market trends.
  • Responsible for staying current on competitive analyses and understanding differentiators between the company and its competitors.
  • Responsible for preparing for meetings and tailoring communications to address business needs of potential clients as part of the pre-sales process.
  • Responsible for providing feedback from the market to Product Management and Development regarding products including coordinating gaps between product functionality and market/customer demands.
  • Responsible for working with Product Management to develop and deliver training on business problems, products, and messages (classroom and OJT) for new pre-Sales team members.
  • Coordinate requirements for proofs of concept with Product Management/Product Development.
  • In conjunction with Sales Personnel, develop and conduct transition briefings – communicate commitments, expectations, customer organization, etc.
  • Conduct Product Demonstrations online and On-Site and address highly technical questions.
  • Actively participate in the sales discovery process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features on all Bluepoint products.

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel overnight up to 75% of the time.
  • Ability to communicate technical and business information to widely varied audiences.
  • Strong computer skills (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM Programs)
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in financial services sector.  Ideally operations experience in credit unions or community banks.
  • Ability to understand business processes and business problems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand data relationships and how data can be used to solve business problems.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and be able to represent multiple subjects and products.
  • Ability to understand and capture business and technical requirements.
  • Ability to develop a broad awareness of the client’s technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.

  • Must have demonstrated success working responsibly and effectively in home office environment and ability to travel independently
