The latest release of Bluepont’s flagship enterprise content management (ECM) application is a browser-based application that includes new features and incorporates the latest best practices in content management and user experience design. The redesign of FASTdocs for use within a web browser allows it to be centrally installed and maintained by a financial institution to facilitate faster deployment across an organization of any size. The ability to centrally administer the application also allows updates to be completed faster and with fewer demands on internal IT resources, reducing the cost of managing the system.
The latest release features a new user interface modeled after Microsoft Office 2010’s familiar user interface making FASTdocs 5 easy to navigate and requiring minimal training for employees. New features include expanded search and browse functionality, tabbed browsing that allows users to view and work with multiple work spaces simultaneously, an improved viewing and editing toolkit, faster document scanning and import, and expanded use of document templates.
