Bluepoint Solutions Partners With Las Vegas-based Operation School Bell, Assistance League To Provide Needed School Supplies

Bluepoint employees expand long-term community outreach initiative–

Bluepoint Solutions today announced it is partnering with the Las Vegas chapter of the national Assistance League to support the needs of Operation School Bell, a volunteer-based program that provides children in need with new school clothing, jackets, shoes, backpacks and school  supplies. The program is designed to assist students from kindergarten through eighth grade in the Clark County School District.

Bluepoint Solutions recently announced it is re-locating its corporate headquarters from Vista, Calif. to Henderson, Nevada. Following the announcement, Bluepoint employees were challenged to research and identify various charitable organizations in the Las Vegas community with which the company could partner. Employees divided into teams, researched various organizations, presented the information in company-wide meetings, and ultimately selected Operation School Bell.

“Community involvement is something that all of us at Bluepoint take seriously,” said Andrew Tilbury, chief marketing officer of Bluepoint Solutions. “We try to engage with community programs and charities at multiple levels to give every employee an opportunity to get involved. No one is required to participate in the various outreach efforts, but I am proud that in 2011 every employee dedicated service hours, resources and portions of their income to help support needs within the area. Our employees share a passion for service and we are all excited to assist the Assistance League Operation School Bell in any way possible.”

Operation School Bell is the largest program supported by the Las Vegas Assistance League chapter. Every school year Operation School Bell clothes more than 7,500 at-risk children in the Clark County School District. The organization partners with teachers in the Clark County School District to identify children in need, and then works with the community to provide the necessary resources. Operation School Bell has “closets” in more than 30 schools so that supplies can be distributed to children with urgent needs immediately.
